Since its inception, techlab.bp has released 10 diverse VA (various artists) albums, collaborating with talented musicians from around the world. This global collaboration brings together a fusion of sounds and influences, uniting artists under the techlab.bp vision to craft a cohesive yet exploratory musical landscape. Each release is an invitation to experience the hypnotic, boundary-pushing world of techlab.bp.
Among techlab.bp’s notable releases, Törzs, launched in September 2024, delves into the concept of “tribe” and explores the many interpretations of belonging and primal connection. Artists were invited to channel their creativity through the theme of the color brown, resulting in a rich tapestry of tracks that range from ominous swamp atmospheres to shadowy night-time soundscapes and even ancient shamanic chants. Each track in Törzs contributes to an atmospheric, genre-transcending ritual, connected by a deeper force and reflective of techlab.bp’s boundary-pushing ethos.
Preceding Törzs, the Óperencia compilation was released in May 2024, drawing inspiration from the mythical land “beyond the Óperencia Sea.” This compilation invites listeners to transcend the familiar and enter a hypnotic, trance-fueled journey with cosmic whispers, shimmering melodies, and deep, exploratory rhythms that evoke worlds beyond civilization.
