With a sound rooted in modern psychedelic techno and trance, techlab.bp expertly blends intergalactic synths, sharp, twisted effects with deep, textural soundscapes. Drawing inspiration from IDM, the collective aims to promote electronic psychedelic music that is both intricate and mind-expanding. Known for their hypnotic and immersive style, techlab.bp events and releases are crafted to create an entrancing experience, transporting listeners into new sonic dimensions. By championing these cutting-edge genres, techlab.bp has established itself as a distinctive force in Budapest’s music scene.

Since its inception, techlab.bp has released 12+ VA (various artists) albums, collaborating with talented producers from around the world. This global collaboration brings together a fusion of sounds and influences, uniting artists under the techlab.bp vision to craft a cohesive yet exploratory musical landscape. Each release is an invitation to experience the hypnotic, boundary-pushing world of techlab.bp.

Among techlab.bp’s notable releases, Örvény explores the idea of a constant, organic flow: an energy that folds back onto itself, spiraling endlessly, twisting, coiling, and never settling. Moving between chaos and serenity, the compilation brings together a diverse range of interpretations of this continuous motion. Artists like AYIM, Qi, Medlock, INN, and Agata contribute to a fluid, atmospheric body of work that reflects techlab.bp’s ongoing exploration of sound beyond fixed boundaries.

Preceding Örvény, the Óperencia compilation was released in May 2024, drawing inspiration from the mythical land “beyond the Óperencia Sea.” This compilation invites listeners to transcend the familiar and enter a hypnotic, trance-fueled journey with cosmic whispers, shimmering melodies, and deep, exploratory rhythms that evoke worlds beyond civilization.
