We’re pleased to report from the lab that we’ve made contact with two of the HEELIX’s resident researchers in Berlin, Marco Maldarella and vp allowed! The allied forces are easily recognizable: Marco Maldarella is well known of his hypnotic fusion of IDM, tribal rhythms and deep atmospheres, while vp allowed explores the unknown with an energetic and experimental blend of neotrance.
Marco Maldarella, a Bologna-based producer, is known for his unique hypnotic experimental style. He is a key figure behind the Marmo project and has released tracks on labels such as Omen Wapta and Suburban Avenue, showcasing his innovative approach to sound design and electronic music.
Vp allowed, an Italian-born, Berlin-based DJ and producer, is the co-founder of Deestricted and Curiosity Pill. A resident of HEELIX and Italy’s Meet Compact Club, his hypnotic, bass-driven sets reflect his roots in experimental projects like Digital Desert Project. His recent releases have gained support from artists such as Lee Ann Roberts and Jacidorex.
The local lineup includes Technokool, a Hungarian DJ whose fast-paced, trippy tek-trance style has been gaining attention across Europe. Under Silk offers deep, hypnotic soundscapes, while techlab.bp residents slym and szoliver round out the lineup with their distinctive styles.
The event will take place at A38 Hajó, a concert venue, cultural center, and restaurant in Budapest, created from the complete transformation of a former Ukrainian cargo ship. Anchored on the Danube just south of the Petőfi Bridge, A38 opened on April 30, 2003, with a celebratory performance by Maceo Parker. Since then, it has become one of Budapest’s most popular and renowned entertainment spots, known for its vibrant atmosphere and diverse cultural programming.
